Carry on Camping,Woolacombe Bay August Bank Holiday 2008

 

Carry on Camping was a wonderful team bonding experience, we closed the salon for the weekend and head off to Woolacombe Bay. We were fortunate with the weather, as it actually was not raining when we arrived and the sun had made a rare appearance for the first time in weeks. We set up camp and head off to the club house, with husbands and children in tow. Our first night under canvas was an enjoyable one however the next two nights, we battled against the elements!!!(more wind and rain) Not many of us got much sleep but it did not dampen our spirits, we celebrated a birthday, we had the tooth fairy, food poisoning and since have found out that there was a conception, that had taken place too!

All in all, an eventful weekend! As a team, we bonded, our husbands and boyfriends bonded and our children all got on like a ‘house on fire’.

There is nothing like camping to bring everyone to the same level, we had a real laugh, day and night.

Bavarian Beer Fest

Envy girls get ‘BLENDED’

Any excuse to get dressed up and a few drinks, you will never have to look too far on the town to find one of the Envy girl’s. However this occasion was actually work related….we were invited to join The Ph Group (suppliers of our products) at a ‘BLEND’ party.

BLEND products are very street scene, colourful and  great shampoo and conditioner range, but the styling products are outstanding! Georgina branded Colin from Ph with the logo.

So as a team we decided to theme our dress code, with black bottoms, brightly coloured tops and eye make-up and lashes to match, the whole team took this on board and I think we made a very colourful arrival. We all had a great night and look forward to our next team exercise which will be the Aug bank holiday weekend…..camping. (This weekend will produce photos of the team as you have never seen them before, we have no electricity)!! Keep logging on, for more pics.

George get’s 1st Prize

Well done to George on another great win, she took 1st place at The Academy of Coordinated Training’s Hairdressing Competition on Tuesday 27th May. This is George’s second 1st place in her 5yrs at Envy.

George has recently furthered her qualifications, by obtaining her NVQ level 3, thus leading on to her teaching and assessors qualifications.

This has been a triumphant week for George, as she completed her 1st half marathon only the Sunday before!!!

We are all very proud to work alongside a very bright ,talented and determined young lady. A great asset to the Envy Team.
